DEFENDER
Three distinctive and diverse Defender models will make their global dynamic debuts at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on 10-13 July, demonstrating the breadth of capability and broad appeal from the original British adventure brand.
Defender OCTA Black – a bold all-black interpretation of the high-performance 4x4 rock star, which stars in the brand’s latest advertising campaigns celebrating Defender’s role as the official automotive partner of Oasis Live ’25 – will unleash its 635PS 4.4-litre Twin Turbo V8 power on the famous Goodwood hillclimb. It will be followed by an evocative Deep Sandglow Yellow 110 Trophy Edition, built for epic adventures with greater purpose such as the recently announced Defender Trophy competition. Both vehicles feature the latest visual and infotainment updates made across the Defender range.
Fitting with this year’s Festival of Speed theme: ‘The Winning Formula – Champions and Challengers’, the Defender Rally team will debut the latest prototype of its Dakar D7X-R rally car on the hillclimb and in the Off-Road Arena. Four-time Dakar rally stage winner Sara Price will drive on Thursday and Friday before handing over to 14 times Dakar Rally winner Stéphane Peterhansel for the weekend, as prototype testing continues ahead of the team’s entry into the 2026 Dakar Rally and World Rally Raid Championship (W2RC).
Rugby fans will also be able to see the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 Trophy Vehicle, a custom plug-in electric hybrid Defender 110 carrying the special trophy. Defender is a Principal Partner of Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, which kicks‑off on 22 August.
